We love what we do here at Foster’s, and that joy comes through with every event we cater. We call our team our “Foster’s Family” and that’s just what it is. In true Maine style, we will make you feel right at home.
Kevin Tacy
Owner and All-Around Friendly Guy
When he received his degree in marine biology from the University of New Hampshire, owning a catering business was really the last thing on his mind. But after a few post-graduate jobs and time spent in the aquaculture business, Kevin became the owner of Foster’s Downeast Clambake in 1985.
He is a man with a ready laugh, an easy disposition and a fanatical concern for his guests’ well being. (When you hear him ask, “Are you having a good time? Is there anything you need?” he’s really not being rhetorical.)
Kevin loves to hear from past as well as future customers, so feel free to email him.
There’s attention to detail, and then there’s Beth who would put a NASA engineer to shame with her planning abilities. Beth will be your contact person here at Fosters as she helps you plan your event. And when it comes to planning weddings, there is none better. With her years of experience guiding her, she will turn your wedding into an event your guests will be talking about for years to come.
Beth was part of the Foster’s family even before she started working here. Having grown up only a couple houses down from Kevin and his wife, Beth could often be found playing in Kevin’s front yard as a child. After moving out west and working as a pastry chef and restaurant manager, Beth started working at Foster’s after a chance meeting with Kevin in Utah. Considered a big sister to many of our staff, Beth’s warmth and caring has become part of the Foster’s tradition.
Feel free to email Beth if you have any questions about planning you next event.
As the jovial entertainer at our New England clambakes, Leighton is in many ways the face of Foster’s. In fact, if you asked our guests, many would probably identify Leighton as the owner.
Part entertainer and part entrepreneur, Leighton makes every clambake memorable. But just in case his performance is not enough, he also runs the gift shop where you can buy a memento of your Foster’s Downeast Clambake.
Our Staff
The Worker Bees that Keep the Hive Buzzing
Nothing at Fosters could get done without the hard work of our amazing staff. Their dedication to our guests is truly remarkable and comes from the pride they take in their jobs. In fact, working at Foster’s has become a mark of distinction, creating an exclusive club that bonds generations of young adults.
From the kids who are working there first summer jobs to the “veterans” who come back every season like clockwork (until they have to put their college degrees to use), our staff is the lifeblood of Foster’s, keeping our company vital and our guests happy.
