What Our Customers Have to Say PDF Print E-mail

fosters020.jpgOver the years we have catered or hosted literally thousands New England clambakes. Some of our customers and guests have been nice enough to let us know about their experience. And we thought we’d share those with you.

But first a review from The Phantom Gourmet.

"Whether you’re planning for a backyard BBQ or a formal wedding and you want to give it that unique New England feel, whom are you going to call?

The same people that former President Bush asked to do a reception on the White House lawn. This seasonal catering operation does parties from thirty-five to 3,500 and even travels as far as Florida to provide their legendary clambakes. Affairs start with New England-style Clam Chowder, Steamed Mussels and Clams and finally the quintessential Maine treat, boiled lobster. In addition to the Bush White House, they’ve also catered for the Pentagon."

“No one does it better” PDF Print E-mail

"I would not hesitate to recommend Foster's Downeast Clambake to anyone. No one does it better! Whether they are putting on an off-site clambake/picnic for our Alumni or we are at their York Harbor Pavilion, we can count on everything being hot and everything being good. I get ads from clambake companies throughout New England, but I always go back to Kevin and Paul. They themselves are key ingredients in the fun of having a Foster's Clambake. They love what they do, and they do what they love very well!"

“I have never seen a better executed event.” PDF Print E-mail

"My sincere congratulations and thanks to you and your staff for the tremendously important part Foster's Clambake played in the success of the largest, grandest outdoor dinner event ever held in the State of Maine, celebrating the 100th Anniversary of our client, Central Maine Power Company.

With 1,800 people having feasted on Foster's fabulous chowder, lobster, corn, rolls, etc., I have not received one complaint - not one - only positive praise for the fantastic job Foster's Clambake had done! Following an event of that magnitude, having received such high praise, you have much to be proud of. As a consultant in meeting and event management [and] having planned special events for the past 14 years for clients from all over the United States, I have never seen a better executed event. Throughout the day and evening, Foster's staff were pleasant, well managed and organized. It was obvious they all enjoyed what they were doing - which created a pleasant atmosphere for all."

“We will definitely be using Foster’s Downeast Clambake again this year!” PDF Print E-mail

“Foster’s Downeast Clambake has been putting on a clambake for New Hampshire Good Roads Association for the past 15 years. Last year, I was unexpectedly assigned the task of planning this event, which has grown annually to an attendance of approximately 1,600 people. From the perspective of a novice in event planning, Foster’s was very helpful. They handled most of the on-site details for both the hot dog and chowder luncheon and evening clambake. Their staff set up the tables and handled all of the clean up. They are great people to work with! The event ran very smoothly. We will definitely be using Foster’s Downeast Clambake again this year!”

“Fosters Downeast Clambake played an integral part in making it a success” PDF Print E-mail

“In August, 1998, Fosters Downeast Clambake served nearly 3,000 dinners at the ‘Second Annual Republican Lobsterbake, Honoring New Hampshire’s 1998 Republican Candidates’ Honey and I hosted at Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, NH. Foster’s was able to perform well under pressure and worked as a team with my staff. The meals were served on time, a credit to them based upon the groups’ sheer size. They streamlined the process of getting people through the lines while keeping them happy. The food was great ... the plates were full and the lobsters were big. This was an energizing, organization-building event, and Fosters Downeast Clambake played an integral part in making it a success.”

“Foster’s definitely has the best clam chowder on land or at sea!” PDF Print E-mail

“When groups come to us and want an informal meal, we always recommend Foster’s Downeast Clambake: their clambakes served on our vessels are the perfect combination for people coming to this area and wanting a ‘Downeast’ experience. We also schedule public cruises with their clambakes as the main event. People love to put on their lobster bibs, get a little messy, and have some fun. We have always found their staff to be pleasant with our passengers and efficient in terms of prep time, meal service, and clean up. Foster’s definitely has the best clam chowder on land or at sea!”
